No experts, no lectures, just real dads sharing real experiences. Our new Fathers Parent Talk is a facilitated discussion just for fathers, where you can speak freely about your parenting journey with others walking the same path.
We’ve created something special. An intimate group that we at
NYC-Parents in Action call “Parent Talks” just for fathers.
Parenting as a dad comes with its unique set of joys, challenges, and questions. Whether you’re navigating bedtimes, social media, toddler tantrums, teen boundaries, or anything in between, this is your space to discuss parenting issues in a safe, non-judgmental zone, with the guidance of professionally trained facilitators.
Don’t miss this chance to build your dad community and walk away with more strategies for your parenting toolbox!
We look forward to seeing you there!

About NYC-Parents in Action
NYC-PIA
NYC-Parents in Action, Inc., is a non-profit volunteer organization committed to the belief that effective communication, parent to parent and parent to child, is vital to the healthy development of young adults capable of making sound choices. We provide education, information, and a communication network to inform parents about social and developmental issues. With these tools, we strive to help parents communicate openly, effectively, and consistently with their children. Our motto is Be Involved, Be Informed, Be Connected. Parent Talks are your chance to be connected.
NYC-PIA informs parents on a host of issues, from preschool through high school. We offer Parent Talks like this one, as well as speaker events and seminars such as Teen Scene and Parenting Scene.
Parent Talks
Parent Talks are NYC-PIA’s signature facilitated discussion group meetings for parents. Each year, we coordinate over 200 Parent Talks in our participating New York City schools.
The goal of Parent Talks is to have a respectful and open exchange of ideas in a safe, non-judgmental environment. All topics discussed are determined by the participants. The meetings provide an opportunity for parents to come together to share parenting perspectives, concerns, and strategies—whatever issues they are facing as parents.
Facilitators
Our Facilitators are parents and individuals who go through intense training in order to contribute their time and talent to guiding Parent Talk discussion groups.
From sleep schedules to social media, bullying to binge drinking, tantrums to teenage anxiety, NYC-PIA Facilitators keep the conversations going.
