Executive Functioning: Helping Kids Get Things Done
How Parents Can Teach Their Kids the Skills to Succeed
WEDNESDAY, NOVEMBER 12th, 2025, Noon – 1 PM via Zoom
What is executive functioning and why does it matter? Join NYC-Parents in Action for a conversation with clinical psychologist Dr. Michelle Chung about the skills that make up executive functioning, how they work, and how to cultivate them in young adults.
Dr. Chung will unpack executive functioning, explain why it matters, and offer practical advice for parents to teach their children the building blocks that make it work—planning, prioritizing, task initiation, motivation, and emotional regulation.
Moderated by psychotherapist and NYC-PIA Facilitation Director Dr. Laurie Freeman, this webinar will dive into how parents can empower their children to build the foundation for success with executive functioning.
